As a Product Engineer at Hitchiner, you will own the technical definition, documentation, and engineering support required to bring customer‑designed components into reliable production. You ensure that products meet customer specifications, are fully validated for manufacturability, and maintain performance and quality throughout their lifecycle. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, product quality, and the company’s ability to serve as a trusted production source.



What Success Looks Like...

  • Deliver complete, accurate manufacturing documentation packages that meet customer requirements and secure timely customer approvals
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Hitchiner, customers, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product requirements
  • Resolve product‑related technical issues quickly and effectively, using structured analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Ensure design intent is preserved while enabling manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness, and quality
  • Evaluate and implement engineering changes with minimal disruption to production
  • Provide data‑driven recommendations that improve product performance, quality, or reliability
  • Consistently meet engineering commitments with accuracy, clarity, and timeliness


What You'll Do...

  • Product Documentation Ownership: Create, update, and maintain component manufacturing documentation; coordinate customer reviews, submissions, and approvals.
  • Customer Technical Interface: Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements, resolve technical questions, and support qualification as an approved production sources.
  • Product Issue Resolution: Investigate product‑related manufacturing or inspection issues; lead root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Design Compatibility Review: Work with design engineering to ensure product designs are compatible with Hitchiner’s capabilities and production methods.
  • Engineering Change Evaluation: Review engineering changes, assess impact on product performance and manufacturability, and coordinate implementation with planning and engineering teams
  • Technical Schematics & Parts Lists: Prepare and maintain schematics, parts lists, and supporting documentation to enable accurate planning and production.
  • Production Data Analysis: Compile and evaluate test and production data to validate product performance and support engineering decisions.
  • Engineering Assignments: Support design reviews, materials evaluations, specification development, and technical reporting as part of assigned product engineering projects.
  • Reliable Execution: Deliver engineering outputs on time, with high accuracy and strong attention to detail.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experiencs.
  • Product engineering or related technical experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with engineering concepts, product specifications, and technical documentation practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, engineering modeling tools, and statistical/analytical software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven production environment.
