JOB OVERVIEW:

In this role, you will support our Textile Purchasing and Sourcing manager in ensuring the requested  quality standards and accuracy in our products. As a Textile Product Development Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our fabrics meets our requested standards before they enter the production stage and through the production processing 


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Textile purchasing manager in conducting thorough evaluation of fabric materials to set up production quality standard.
  • Collaborating with Designers, Textile suppliers and Garment factories on approving the fabric quality that align with our design specifications and production requirements
  • Follow fabric development process from development and throughout production stages
  • Manage daily communication with fabric suppliers and factories to deliver desired fabrics and provide technical support with design, product development, product integrity, and vendor support
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, and follow through with Textile suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the production team to communicate quality standards and ensure compliance with established procedures
  • Working closely with Garment factory on quality checking and assuring on incoming fabric shipments to identify any defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from the approved quality standard
  • Strategize and problem solve fabric issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient production processing


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Previous experience in a garment Design/Manufacturing or Textile quality control environment
  • Experience in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks
  • Communication, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with suppliers, factories and internal team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
