Product Development Intern (Beauty)

Cocomint Inc. is the parent company of cocomintbeauty, the #1 TikTok Shop for Asian Beauty in the U.S. Cocomint Inc. is the retail arm of a wholesale company and was founded in 2023.

We are passionate about skincare innovation, and recognize how beauty products can play an important role in an individual's life. Having sold over 1 million Asian beauty products on TikTok Shop and initiated several viral trends in the TikTok beauty space, we are looking to constantly push the envelope of what is possible in the intersection of Asian Beauty technology and Western sensibilities.

Role Description:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Development Intern to support the end-to-end creation and launch of beauty products. This role is ideal for someone interested in K-beauty, formulation trends, and the behind-the-scenes process of bringing products to market.

You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership to help research, develop, and execute new product initiatives—from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research beauty trends (with a focus on K-beauty and emerging ingredients)
• Analyze competitor products, pricing, and positioning
• Identify gaps and opportunities for new product launches
• Organize and document product testing (internal and external feedback)
• Compile structured feedback and identify actionable improvements
• Assist in iteration cycles based on performance and feedback
• Help source packaging components and evaluate options
• Support product launch timelines and checklists
• Assist with product briefs for marketing and content teams

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in beauty, skincare, and product development
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines simultaneously
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Proficient in Google Sheets and/or Excel
• Preferred Qualifications
• Coursework or background in business, marketing, chemistry, or a related field
• Familiarity with K-beauty brands, trends, and consumer behavior
• Prior internship, project, or extracurricular experience related to beauty, product development, or eCommerce

Compensation:

$18-22 / hour (DOE)

Benefits:

Paid time off (after first 90 days)

Schedule:

Part-time (min. 16 hours per week)

Term:

• 6 months
• Potential for extension and growth based on performance and business needs
