THE ROLE

We are seeking a seasoned Production Manager to own end-to-end production operations across six collections annually - from T&A planning and raw material procurement through factory communication, quality control, and final delivery. You will lead a dedicated team and report directly to senior leadership.


RESPONSIBILITIES

– Own end-to-end production operations across 6 collections annually, including ready-to-wear, evening wear, bridal, special orders, and private client orders.

– Develop, manage, and maintain all T&A calendars and Master Production files to ensure on-time delivery across all collections and seasons.

– Oversee procurement of all raw materials including fabrics, linings, trims, and notions. Lead bulk fabric purchase orders including yield estimation.

– Proactively identify and resolve fabric-related production issues including substitutions, shortages, and quality discrepancies.

– Review and approve all purchase orders issued to domestic and international factories for bulk cut & sew, embroidery, reorders, and special orders.

– Demonstrate strong understanding of garment costing (CMT, FOB, DDP). Maintain cost models and negotiate with factories to meet cost targets.

– Lead daily communication and follow-up with overseas and NY-based factories. Manage all weekly shipping schedules.

– Maintain and update all production tracking systems including WIP charts. Present production status updates to senior leadership.

– Oversee and manage the in-house atelier, including production orders and private client orders.

– Establish and maintain garment specifications through techpacks and BOM spreadsheets. Oversee production fittings in collaboration with the patternmaker and sales team.

– Manage and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments. Oversee creation of commercial invoices for international production shipments.

– Direct and oversee the quality control (QC) process for all production units prior to customer shipment.

– Lead, mentor, and manage a team including a Production Assistant, intern(s), atelier staff, production patternmaker, and digital patternmaker.

– Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, design, pattern, and shipping teams to align on priorities and timelines.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's in Fashion Design, Product Management, or Technical Design

5+ years in apparel production, minimum 2 years in a managerial or leadership role

Proven experience with high-end couture gowns and luxury fabrications

Deep understanding of garment construction, technical development, and full product lifecycle

Strong knowledge of T&A planning, WIP reporting, and BOM management

Proficiency in PLM systems, Microsoft Office & Excel; digital patternmaking a plus

Strong team management skills; ability to motivate and develop staff at various levels

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure


BASE SALARY RANGE

$100,000 — $125,000

Salary is commensurate with experience. Disclosed in accordance with the NYC Salary Transparency Law.
