Role Overview
As a Procurement Specialist, you will drive the end-to-end onboarding and integration of new vendors into the global supply chain of a Fortune 500 market leader. Based onsite in Columbus, OH, this long-term contract engagement positions you as the critical operational bridge between external partners and internal teams like Legal, Risk, and IT. You will directly impact corporate velocity by ensuring data integrity, compliance, and transactional readiness across state-of-the-art enterprise platforms.
What You'll Do
- Lead the full supplier onboarding lifecycle, transitioning vendors seamlessly from initial request to active status within enterprise ERP systems.
- Champion data integrity and corporate compliance by validating complex vendor documentation against regulatory standards.
- Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Risk, Asset Protection, and Legal teams to expedite due diligence and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
- Empower external suppliers by guiding them through modern registration portals and enabling advanced tools like Guided Buying.
- Analyze key onboarding metrics to identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cycle times.
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience within procurement operations, supplier management, corporate accounts payable, or a related supply chain function.
- Direct exposure to enterprise procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba (SLP/Guided Buying) or Coupa.
- A solid foundational understanding of supplier compliance, data governance, and procure-to-pay (P2P) cycles.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to balance multiple high-priority onboarding tracks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills required to align internal teams and support external business partners.
