Private Equity Associate, Software

A leading growth-oriented private equity firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team in Austin. The firm focuses on investments across software, technology, and tech-enabled businesses, partnering with founder-led and middle-market companies to drive long-term value creation.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team with significant exposure to live deal execution, financial analysis, portfolio company work, and investment committee processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment opportunities across software, SaaS, and broader technology sectors
• Perform financial modeling, valuation analysis, and industry research
• Support transaction execution, due diligence, and deal structuring processes
• Participate in management meetings and portfolio company initiatives
• Conduct market mapping and sourcing analysis within the technology landscape
• Work closely with senior investment professionals across all stages of the investment lifecycle

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity
• Strong interest in software, technology, and TMT investing
• Excellent financial modeling and analytical skillset
• Experience working on M&A transactions and due diligence processes
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
