For this U.S. based position, the expected base salary is $156,936 – $164,783 per year. Additional short-term incentive compensation is a typical part of our compensation structure and would be in addition to the above-stated range.

 

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Description: Architecture design, Firmware design, implement secure firmware update of power system using asymmetric cryptography concepts like public and private keys, X.509 certificate format. Implement digital control of online UPS system for PFC and inverter. Benchmark performance against analog system to prove equivalence in terms of Bode Plot (Gain Margin) and Phase response (Phase Margin). Develop MATLAB models and implement changes for different PFC and inverter control strategies with compensators (e.g. PI, 2P2Z, 3P3Z). Work alongside EE for modeling compensator in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Design and develop applications and drivers on Linux (Yocto, I2C, Serial drivers) and RTOS systems (Free RTOS/Threadx) platform.

Requirements: Position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Information Systems, or related and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in developing real-time

firmware for power applications, or related occupation, which must include 5 years of experience designing Embedded Systems in Power Electronic Systems using C/C++, Python, and Java, as well as at least some experience in the following skills: Microcontroller families (STM32F4, STM32H5, TI F29, LPC, Renesas RZ family of processors and Microchip DSPIC controllers);

OrCAD, MATLAB, CCS Studio, IAR, MpLAB, RIDE7, STVD/STVP, Cube programmer, CubeMx, Valgrind, GDB debugger; Web based technologies (Python Flask application, Vue JS, Alchemy, JavaScript, REST API's); Dashboard applications to display prospective opportunities of UPS sales for subsequent years based on existing current and past sales data; Gathering requirements using Jama, Jira for Bug tracking and Coverity/Squore for SCA; Using security tools like Redmine, PC Lint, Nessus, Nmap for Testing; Designing using data structures and design patterns (factory, observer, adapter, singleton to write object oriented and modular codes); and Debugging existing codebase and creating well tested modifications.
