Preconstruction Manager or Estimator (Leadership Track)

Overview
Confidential search for a mid-sized, General Contractor in Northern Colorado.
This is a transition role. The current preconstruction leader is moving into a full-time VP position, creating an opportunity for someone to step in and lead the preconstruction function. There will be overlap and support during the transition.

Key Responsibilities
Develop full estimates and bid packages
Perform takeoffs, scope reviews, and constructability analysis
Lead or attend pre-bid meetings and client discussions
Support proposal development through handoff to operations
Drive value engineering and early risk analysis
Build and maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and meet bid deadlines
Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and leadership to align scope and cost strategy
Track market pricing and competitive bid trends
Contribute to bid strategy and positioning
Requirements
Heavy ground up vertical commercial construction experience required
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and bid documents
Experience with estimating, takeoffs, and preconstruction workflows
Strong communication with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to the Loveland area
Ability to pass a standard background check

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range $120K to $150K depending on experience
Vehicle and gas provided for some candidates
