About the Opportunity

Summit EPC is seeking a Principal Architect to lead design strategy, client visioning, and project development within a true integrated design-build environment.

This role is built for a senior architect from a traditional A&E background who wants greater influence, tighter collaboration with builders, and direct impact on execution.

At Summit EPC, design is not separated from construction. You will partner daily with preconstruction and operations to align design, budget, and schedule from day one.

• Guide programming, planning, and client vision
• Translate business goals into design direction
• Own architectural quality and technical execution
• Direct multidisciplinary coordination

• Support client development and pursuits

Ideal Background

• Senior architect or studio leader from an A&E firm seeking broader ownership
• Architectural leader within a GC or design-build firm seeking greater design influence
• Experience across commercial, institutional, healthcare, retail, civic, or specialty sectors
• Strong technical architect seeking closer connection to construction or deeper design leadership within it
• Thrives in collaborative, client-facing environments

Qualifications

• 10+ years of architectural experience with leadership progression
• Experience from programming through construction
• Strong consultant and systems coordination
• Ability to balance design, budget, and schedule
• Ground-up or complex renovation experience
• Architecture degree
• Licensure preferred
