Job Title: Plumber / Pipefitter

Job Description

This role focuses on installing plumbing, piping, and related mechanical systems on commercial construction projects. You will support new construction and renovation work by assisting with the installation of plumbing and piping systems, as well as some duct work, while working closely with experienced tradespeople on active job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install plumbing and piping systems on commercial construction projects under the direction of experienced tradespeople.
  • Assist with the layout, assembly, and installation of pipe systems and related mechanical components.
  • Support the installation of duct work as needed on commercial projects, while focusing primarily on piping work.
  • Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently on active construction sites.
  • Lift, carry, and position materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds as required for installation tasks.
  • Work on both new construction and renovation projects, following project plans and instructions from site leadership.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all site safety rules and procedures.
  • Adapt to working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, depending on project needs.
  • Travel directly to assigned job sites within the regional area as scheduled.

Essential Skills

  • Previous commercial construction experience.
  • Hands-on plumbing experience, ideally 2 or more months of plumbing work.
  • Experience with installation of piping in a commercial construction setting.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with tools, materials, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
  • Comfort working on active commercial job sites, including new construction and renovations.
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting plumbers, pipefitters, or mechanical trades on commercial projects.
  • Exposure to HVAC or duct work installation in a commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with fiberglass materials and mechanical systems used in commercial construction.
  • No formal education requirements for this role.
  • Reliability in arriving directly at various job sites within approximately one hour of the headquarters area.

Work Environment

The work takes place on commercial new construction and renovation sites, including facilities such as living communities and other large commercial buildings. Job sites are typically located within about an hour of the headquarters area, including locations such as Lancaster, Elizabethtown, King of Prussia, and Fleetwood, with current needs in West Chester. You report directly to the job site rather than an office and can expect to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the year. The environment is hands-on, physical, and mechanically focused, with a strong emphasis on piping work and related mechanical installations on active construction sites.

This is a Contract position based out of GAP, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
