We are hiring for General Manager – Pork Processing Facility

We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead all operations at a large, modern, high-volume pork processing facility. This is an executive-level role responsible for the plant’s overall performance, including safety, production, quality, engineering, maintenance, continuous improvement, labor management, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all plant operations and drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and throughput optimization.
- Manage labor, yields, raw materials, and operational KPIs.
- Lead, hire, coach, and develop plant leadership and hourly teams.
- Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, GMPs, and food safety standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Pork processing experience is required.
- 10+ years of plant leadership experience in meat/pork processing.
- Strong expertise in production, safety, quality, maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement.
- Proven success in managing large, multi-shift USDA-regulated operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business, or related field.
- Must be open to relocating to Sioux City, IA.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced pork processing plant; exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and high-volume operations. Must be able to move throughout the plant, lift up to 50 lbs. and navigate all areas safely.
