Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Seneca, South Carolina facility. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a strong safety culture, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineered-to-order products. The Plant Manager will play a critical role in supporting business growth while developing a high-performing, engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of plant operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with business leadership to support profitable growth through effective operations planning and execution.
  • Oversee sales and operations planning activities for engineered-to-order products, including capacity planning and production scheduling.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, sales, and customers.
  • Plan, direct, and manage plant activities across manufacturing, quality, lean manufacturing, manufacturing and order engineering, procurement, finance, and human resources.
  • Establish and execute site-level strategies and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Drive performance against key operational metrics through structured action plans and disciplined execution.
  • Manage the plant operating budget, including capital investments and ongoing operational expenses.
  • Develop, coach, and engage plant leadership and employees to build a strong performance-driven culture.

 

What qualifications will help you succeed in this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of eight years of manufacturing leadership experience with direct responsibility for people and operations.
  • Strong business acumen, including experience with budgeting, strategic planning, and resource management.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, standard industrial equipment, and technical operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety standards, quality systems, productivity improvement, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to lead change, influence across functions, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
