OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to step into a critical leadership role due to an upcoming retirement. This individual will partner closely with the current Plant Manager during a transition period, gaining hands-on exposure to operations while beginning to implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.

This role has recently expanded in scope, absorbing additional responsibilities aligned with broader operational leadership, making it a high-impact position within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead day-to-day plant operations across welding, fabrication, and assembly functions
• Drive labor cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and throughput
• Improve production scheduling, workflow, and overall plant efficiency
• Evaluate and optimize plant layout for better material flow and productivity
• Implement process improvements and operational best practices (continuous improvement mindset)
• Utilize MRP/ERP systems to support planning, inventory, and production management
• Partner with leadership to align plant performance with business objectives
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to production teams

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in a plant or operations leadership role
• Strong background in welding, fabrication, and assembly environments
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
• Proven track record of improving processes, reducing costs, and optimizing operations
• Exposure to Lean/Kaizen concepts preferred, but not required (must understand best practices)
• Ability to step into an established operation and elevate it further
