Why it's a great opportunity:In this role for the Maintenance and Operations division of Planning and Public Works, you will manage with your team the maintenance of county roads, river levees, and storm water assets to ensure that the communities of Pierce County can operate smoothly. Projects you will be involved with include road repair and maintenance, drainage maintenance and installation, and vegetation maintenance. In support of the projects, you will be scheduling crews, equipment, and materials. Your team will also develop from your training, teambuilding, feedback, and constructive interaction. Your interactions with the public, other municipalities, and multiple other Pierce County divisions will ensure that the maintenance work is completed accurately and on time.

How to be successful in the role:Your success will come from overseeing multiple projects in office while also providing guidance to Supervisors in the field through excellent written and verbal communication. Having knowledge in ArcGIS, Workday, See Click Fix, and WEBEOC will further ensure your success.
