Pipe Welder/Fitter
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and welding 4–6 inch pipe systems for a large commercial financial building project on the east side of Austin. You will install piping in hangers and within walls using durable materials such as copper, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloys to support high-volume water, waste, and gas flow. The position requires proficiency in multiple welding processes and strong pipe fitting skills to ensure safe, accurate, and reliable installations.

Work Environment
This role is based on a commercial new-build construction site on the east side of Austin, involving both indoor and outdoor work on a financial building. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, typically totaling about 50 hours per week, with start times around 6:00–7:00 a.m. and end times around 4:30–5:30 p.m., depending on the day. You will work in an active construction environment using welding equipment (stick, MIG, TIG), grinders, torches, and standard pipe-fitting tools. The setting requires appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment suitable for both interior and exterior work conditions
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
