Physician Assistant / Associate Psychiatry

Modern Minds Health
Sacramento, CA

We’re looking for an awesome PA ready to join our team! We’re a growing, physician-owned outpatient psychiatry practice in Sacramento looking for someone who’s a strong culture fit and wants to do meaningful clinical work alongside a supportive team.

What can you expect? Team environment. Flexible schedule. No call, no weekends, no inpatient. A value-driven culture where clinical decisions are made by clinicians. Must be a great team player and have an awesome attitude!

If that sounds like a good fit, let’s talk. We’re open to tailoring the role to meet your personal and professional goals.

About Us

Modern Minds Health is a Sacramento-based outpatient psychiatry practice specializing in advanced treatment modalities — including TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), Spravato (esketamine), and comprehensive medication management. We’re provider-owned and operated, and we aim to function as a lean, modern organization with a family-environment feel for our staff.

We take pride in delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. Sacramento has a significant shortage of psychiatric providers, and our practice is growing rapidly to meet that demand. We’re open to experienced providers and early-career PAs who want to grow alongside us.

The Role

You’ll work alongside Dr. Hammad Khan, our Medical Director, managing your own panel of outpatient psychiatry patients. Day-to-day, that means medication management follow-ups, new patient evaluations, and collaborating on complex or treatment-resistant cases. You’ll have real autonomy with direct physician support when you need it. And of course, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experts on procedural elements of cutting-edge brain health treatments, including AMPA TMS, Spravato, and more!

Day-to-day:

  • Psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
  • Ongoing medication management for your own patient panel
  • Prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, including controlled substances
  • Collaborating with Dr. Khan on complex cases
  • Coordinating care with PCPs, therapists, and specialists
  • Documenting in Osmind (our EMR — intuitive and built for psychiatry)
