What the Physical Therapist / DPT - Lymph Specialist will be doing:
- Provide diagnoses and treats lymphatic system disorders—most commonly lymphedema—using specialized techniques to reduce fluid buildup, ease discomfort, and improve limb function
- Use a combination of manual lymphatic drainage (specialized massage), compression bandaging, garment fitting, exercise, and education for long-term self-management
- Teaching self-massage, skin hygiene, and lifestyle adjustments to manage swelling at home and prevent infections.
Qualifications for the Physical Therapist / DPT – Lymph Specialist:
- Licensed Physical Therapist / DPT (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
