Physical Security Specialist

Location: This is an in-office-based role (Santa Clara, CA.)

Employment Status: Full time, permanent contract. 40 hours PW.

Salary and benefits: Starting salary c. $140k. 401K, dental, vision and health.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day maintenance of physical security systems across the assigned region, including incident logging, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and tracking issues through to closure.
  • Manage security installation and upgrade projects, including coordination with internal teams and external vendors, system programming, testing, and commissioning to ensure successful deployment.
  • Support procurement of security hardware for projects and ongoing maintenance activities, including order tracking and delivery coordination.
  • Coordinate with the Global Security team on project and service-related activities including regular project status updates.
  • Perform routine configuration changes and updates within access control and video management systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to security system design, installation, and maintenance.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with incident or ticket management systems like ServiceNow and structured issue tracking processes.
  • Experience coordinating with security integrators, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support project delivery.
  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate configuration tasks within access control and VMS platforms; Lenel and Milestone certifications are a strong plus.
  • Good documentation skills, with experience creating or maintaining technical procedures and system documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English to collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and basic network troubleshooting concepts.
  • Working knowledge of databases, virtual machines, out of band management operations and IT troubleshooting processes.
  • IT Certifications or background is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (keyboarding)
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times (reaching at or below shoulder level)
  • Hear, understand and distinguish speech in person, by telephone or other remote means
  • Clarity of vision with near visual acuity allowing reading and use of computers
