Shift: Eastern: M-W 8am-4pm 30 min unpaid break, Thursday and Friday 8am-2pm
Pay rate: $17- $21/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Job Details:
- The Patient Services Representative (PSR I) represent the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
- PSR I draw quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- The PSR I have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
- The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures
- Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling
- Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, trust, and confidence
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality of patient information

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- 6+ months of phlebotomy experience is preferred inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
- Minimum 1 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
