  • Familiarity with permit-related software tools.
  • Proven experience managing high-volume permitting accounts.
  • Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection, a dedicated home office setup, and a demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment (must have a computer they can work off of)

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a fully remote Permit Project Manager for our Permit Expediting client in San Diego, CA to lead and coordinate permitting processes for construction projects. This role is primarily focused on managing permitting in San Diego County for new builds, additions/add-ons, and select small commercial projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and municipalities, ensuring all permits are obtained accurately and on time. Candidates must have a background in permitting and project management of some kind, with technical proficiency in AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have worked in permit software programs in current or previous roles.


The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and governing agencies to navigate complex permitting requirements, maintain schedules, and deliver exceptional client service.


Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate all permit submission requirements for assigned projects.

- Manage the permitting process with municipalities to ensure timely approvals.

- Research permitting procedures, requirements, timelines, and fees across various city and county agencies.

- Maintain project schedules and identify potential delays or areas of concern.

- Track the status of project submittals and maintain accurate documentation.

- Prepare and submit applications, request checks from clients, and assemble complete submittal packages.

- Submit plans for review, address agency comments, and secure final approvals and permits.

- Communicate proactively with clients to gather necessary information and provide regular status updates.
