JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a PCB Test Technician to support testing and troubleshooting of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for government electronics programs. This role is responsible for executing functional, environmental, and continuity testing in accordance with engineering documentation and quality standards.

This position is ideal for candidates with hands‑on electronics experience who are detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a structured, quality‑driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform functional and automated testing on PCB assemblies and electronic subassemblies
  • Use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and test fixtures
  • Interpret test procedures, schematics, drawings, and work instructions
  • Identify, document, and report defects or failures
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting to isolate faulty components or circuits
  • Accurately record test results, failures, and corrective actions
  • Verify assemblies meet engineering, quality, and customer specifications
  • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and FOD (Foreign Object Damage) control procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized test workstation per 5S standards
  • Work closely with assemblers, engineers, and quality teams to resolve issues

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience testing PCBs or electronic assemblies
  • Ability to use basic electronic test equipment (multimeter required)
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team‑based, production environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic circuits
  • Prior experience supporting government or defense electronics programs
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC‑A‑610 preferred)
  • Knowledge of ESD and FOD requirements
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or test environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
