Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description

The Assembly Technician inspects and assembles mechanical and electronic components for aviation headsets, ensuring high-quality, reliable products. This role involves detailed work with small parts, electronics, and printed circuit boards (PCBs), as well as performing board-level testing in a relaxed, long-term production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components for aviation headsets according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Inspect mechanical parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Perform board-level testing on electronic assemblies and PCBs to verify proper functionality.
  • Use soldering techniques to assemble and rework electronic components on circuit boards, as required.
  • Operate computers and related software to follow work orders, record production data, and document test results.
  • Handle and assemble small parts with precision and care to avoid damage and ensure reliability.
  • Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or issues in assemblies and components to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and accurate assembly and inspection.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience with assembly in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electronics assembly, including working with electronic components and PCBs.
  • Ability to perform board-level testing on electronic assemblies.
  • Good hearing ability to support testing and quality checks on aviation headsets.
  • Mechanical assembly skills, including working with small mechanical parts.
  • Basic computer operation skills for following work instructions and documenting work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with small parts assembly.
  • Soldering experience, including rework and soldering assembly, is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with PCB handling and assembly processes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Comfort working in an electronics manufacturing or warehouse-type environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in an electronics manufacturing setting within a small, warehouse-type environment. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Oswego, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
