Stand alone position overseeing the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Administer semi-monthly multi-state payroll.
Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies, serving as the primary escalation point for inquiries.
Maintain and update employee records in the HR system, including compensation, hours worked, leave balances, deductions, address changes, and terminations.
Track and manage recorded time off (vacation, sick leave, and holidays) for both weekly and semi-monthly payroll employees.
Prepare, process, and reconcile payroll-related reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll summaries, tax filings, and benefit contributions such as child support payments.
Handle both scheduled and ad hoc payroll reporting requests.
Oversee the background check process for all new hires.
Requirements:
In-Depth knowledge of multi-state payroll processes, tax regulations and wage + hour laws.
Proficient in payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Knowledge of wage & hour laws and tax-related issues. .
Problem- solving skills and continuous learning mindset.
