Payroll Coordinator

LHH is working with a large non-profit organization in Manhattan on this possible temp to hire Payroll Coordinator position. This role will support the payroll manager with processing payroll in Paycom for up to 1,000 employees. The ideal candidate will also have strong Excel experience. The position is hybrid and hiring immediately!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll using Paycom
  • Review and audit payroll data for accuracy, including hours, earnings, deductions, and taxes
  • Maintain employee records in Paycom, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and benefits deductions
  • Use Excel to support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Support year-end processes, including W-2s and audit requests


Compensation: $30 - $35/hr, depending on experience.


Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
  • 1+ year of payroll experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
