Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage certified payroll reporting in compliance with prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and other governing regulations.
  • Validate timecards, job costing codes, deductions, and wage tables.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, benefits deductions, garnishments, and multi-state tax requirements.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for management, auditors, and government agencies.
  • Collaborate with HR, project managers, and field supervisors on payroll discrepancies.
  • Participate in internal and external payroll compliance audits.



Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably within a construction, trades, or general contracting environment.
  • Strong understanding of certified payroll, prevailing wage requirements, and union agreements.
  • Proficiency in Vista Viewpoint is a plus
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage high-volume payroll and strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
