Overview
The MIGS Patient Navigator is an independent registered nurse who coordinates and facilitates comprehensive care for patients within the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery division. This role ensures seamless patient experiences by managing referrals, scheduling, pre- and post-operative education, and follow-up care while serving as a liaison between patients, providers, and referring physicians. The navigator enhances access to specialized services, supports informed decision-making, and promotes continuity of care by serving as a direct liaison and primary point of contact for referring providers and specialty groups, ensuring seamless communication, coordinated services, and efficient patient transitions.
This position supports providers and patients at all office locations across the practice plan and requires travel to all clinical sites as well as travel to referring community offices as necessary.
Responsibilities
Care Coordination, Patient Navigation & Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Education – 50%
Serves as the primary liaison and patient navigator, ensuring seamless coordination of care throughout the surgical continuum. Provides comprehensive education and support to enhance patient understanding, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.

Ensures accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.

Supports the efficient operation of the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) program and clinical environment. Demonstrates professionalism and alignment with institutional goals and expectations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
EDUCATION:
RNrequired. Completion of BLS or other approved CPR courses required with recertification every 2 years.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and treatment protocols.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence required.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to those coordinating care for a patient.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts required for medication administration required.
Preferred Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three or more years of gynecology, labor and delivery, or medical-surgical clinical experience preferred.
