Patent Paralegal

Location: Waltham, MA | Flexible hybrid working arrangement

Salary Range: $90K-$120K | Bonus Eligible

Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday

A respected intellectual property law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal to join its collaborative and highly personable Patent Practice Group. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required
• 3+ years of experience as a Patent Paralegal or IP Paralegal
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution
• Experience with PCT applications
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with CPI and IPDAS preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to manage concurrent priorities and meet critical deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file U.S. and PCT patent prosecution documents
• Coordinate with foreign associates regarding all aspects of foreign patent prosecution
• Report and manage official correspondence from domestic and international patent offices
• Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements (IDS)
• Ensure compliance with Duty of Disclosure requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Draft and process patent formality documents, including declarations, assignments, and power of attorney
• Process incoming correspondence from various patent offices and maintain accurate records
• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
