Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Leader assists in the implementation of a recreational youth program in a City facility, specifically facilitating youth summer programs and camps; organizes and implements recreational and educational activities while providing supervision of preschool-aged, elementary and/or middle school youth; attends staff meetings and special trainings; works various special events as directed; and performs other related work as required.
Hours Required:Monday through Friday possible shifts include:
7:15am - 12:30pm
12:45pm – 5:45pm
This position is seasonal, for the summer season from
June 7th to August 14th. The individual must be available to routinely work 20 hours per week throughout for the duration of the season. All part time employees are limited to no more than 999 hours per fiscal year.

Responsible for supervision of program participants and oversees daily activities; assists with record keeping; assists with set-up of equipment and supplies required for activities; enforces safety regulations and submits accident/incident reports, as required; adheres to established schedule and work assignments; interacts with parents and visitors; and assists with cleaning and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
Education and Experience:Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a high school graduate/GED; some experience working with children is required.
License or Certificate:Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license, Class C, with satisfactory driving record.
