The Part-Time Laboratory Assistant, Physics is a part-time position responsible to the Chair of the Physical Science Department.
*This is a part-time position and can work up to 18 hours per week.
- Setting up and taking down equipment/handouts needed for classes.
- Cleaning and storing of equipment.
- Inventorying of materials and equipment.
- Helping in the recovery of waste for disposal.
- Documenting amounts and types of waste recovered.
- Work as a team with professional and peer tutors to help and support each other.
- Attend required meetings.
- Report problems to the Department Chair.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Follow all policies and procedures established by the Center for Anatomy & Physiology Resource Room.

- Knowledge of and experience with standard laboratory equipment.
- Must be student-centered in methodology and classroom procedures and have excellent communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work well with diverse groups of individuals.

Work Environment: Work rarely outside of normal business hours

If travel is required, the candidate must have and maintain a current, valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
