Paralegal - Workers' Compensation Requirements & Qualifications


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certificate a plus
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in workers’ compensation, personal injury, or litigation preferred
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with case management software preferred


Paralegal - Workers Compensation Preferred Background & Skills


  • Experience with Apple products is a plus
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Client-focused and responsive with a strong sense of accountability


Paralegal - Workers' Compensation Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Manage a high-volume caseload of workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution
  • Maintain and coordinate attorney calendars, including hearings, depositions, and deadlines
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
  • File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies
  • Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Request, review, and organize medical records, bills, and case documentation
  • Prepare settlement documents and disbursement summaries; assist with file closing
  • Support attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witnesses
