The Firm is seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Trial Paralegal to support our litigation team with trial, arbitration, and courtroom support. The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of hands-on litigation experience and a proven track record assisting attorneys in high-level cases.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex case files
- Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and trial materials
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules, AAA rules, and scheduling orders
- Draft and respond to discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission)
- Coordinate document production, including e-discovery platforms and databases
- Lead all aspects of trial preparation, including:
- Pre-Trial, exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, electronic data
- Coordination of trial logistics (war room setup, technology, vendors)
- Prepare demonstratives and coordinate with experts and consultants
- Support the trial team by managing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and assisting attorneys at trial or arbitration hearings
- Operate OnCue trial presentation software
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently in a trial/hearing environment
- Serve as liaison between attorneys, clients, experts, court personnel, and vendors
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during trial
- Occasional travel may be required for trials or depositions
- Maintain a team-oriented environment with high performance standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of litigation experience, with significant trial experience
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a fast-paced law firm environment
- Knowledge of federal rules, state court rules, AAA rules and procedures
- Experience in complex litigation (e.g., commercial, personal injury)
- Experience with e-discovery platforms and document management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and trial presentation software
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during trial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
