Role Description

The Johnson Firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal for a full-time, on-site position at its Lake Charles, LA office focusing in Family Law. The Paralegal will assist attorneys by preparing legal documents, reviewing case files, meeting with clients, and managing correspondence. Additional responsibilities include organizing case materials, and maintaining deadlines for litigation and court proceedings. Collaboration with attorneys and staff is essential to ensure efficient case management and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of legal principles and processes;
• Proficiency in legal document drafting;
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask;
• Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office applications;
• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Paralegal certification (preferred but not required);
• Experience in Family Law (a plus).
