Real Estate Paralegal

Our client, a respected law firm in Wilmington, DE, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join their team on a hybrid schedule. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with 3+ years of real estate paralegal experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and manage commercial and/or residential real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, leases, amendments, closing documents, and related correspondence.
Coordinate and assist with real estate closings, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of settlement statements, checklists, and closing binders.
Perform due diligence, including title and survey review, document retrievals, lien searches, UCC filings, and zoning research.
Draft and file UCC financing statements and manage follow‑ups and renewals.
Communicate with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel to facilitate smooth and efficient transactions.
Organize and maintain transaction files, track critical dates, and ensure compliance with firm procedures and deadlines.
Support attorneys with document management, scheduling, and other administrative tasks related to real estate matters.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal within a law firm or in-house legal environment.
Strong understanding of real estate transaction processes, closing procedures, and title/survey review.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems, and title/closing software.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfort working with clients and external parties.
Paralegal certificate or relevant academic background preferred.
