Pharmaceutical Packing Associate

Responsibilities

  • Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and conduct activities in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Perform manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products.
  • Act as the primary performer of in-process and AQL inspections.
  • Conduct computer-related tasks for job sign-ins, in-process actions, and data entry.
  • Participate in the start-up and closure of packaging jobs.
  • Clean packaging rooms and machinery according to SOPs and GMP.
  • Accept or reject in-process clinical supplies and drug products.
  • Perform counts of components and drug products.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in assembly, GMP, labeling, cleanroom practices, and packaging.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
  • Ability to interpret 2D diagrams and batch paperwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Capability to meet physical requirements such as standing continuously, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • Proficiency in reading, comprehending, and executing English work documents including SOPs and safety procedures.
  • Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) required.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a cleanroom environment with gowning requirements. Be prepared to work in primary, secondary, refrigerated (2 to 8° C), and freezer (-20° C) environments, with up to 80% of the day potentially in a freezer. Additional pay is provided for working in refrigerated and freezer environments. Personal protective equipment such as filtering face masks, PAPR, N-95 masks, and safety glasses is necessary to perform this position.

This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $28.57/hr.
