Job Description

This entry-level warehouse role focuses on packaging and boxing customer orders in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will work on your feet throughout the shift, preparing pre-picked orders for shipment, labeling boxes, and supporting rework activities for damaged products. As you gain experience, you will receive training on inventory systems and RF scanners to assist with product picking.

Responsibilities

• Package and box customer and client orders that have been pre-picked by another team member.
• Label boxes accurately for shipment to ensure correct routing and delivery.
• Follow established packaging procedures to maintain quality and consistency.
• Work in the rework area to repackage damaged or returned products as needed.
• Use inventory systems and RF scanners to pick products after completing initial packaging training.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse safety standards.
• Stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift while performing packaging tasks.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of equipment and adherence to training.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet daily production and shipping goals.
• Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure correct items, quantities, and labels for each order.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of work experience with references that can speak to attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic.
• Ability to stand on your feet and perform physical warehouse tasks for the entire shift.
• Strong attention to detail when packaging, labeling, and verifying orders.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality in a structured warehouse schedule.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. from a U.S. institution (required for hire-on).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous packaging or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with general labor tasks in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Willingness to learn inventory systems and RF scanner operation.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with production goals.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

You will work in a large, well-lit, temperature-controlled distribution facility designed for comfort and safety. The environment is friendly and team-oriented, with one-on-one training provided to help you learn packaging processes, inventory systems, and RF scanner use. Safety is the top priority, and the workplace follows clear guidelines and procedures to protect all employees. The role involves being on your feet throughout the shift while handling packaging, labeling, and general warehouse tasks. Training is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the potential for a different shift assignment after training is complete.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Otsego, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
