About the Company
The Operations and Production Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing core operational planning for Opopop. This role works cross-functionally to ensure that production and inventory processes are aligned with company goals and sales activity across DTC, Amazon, and retail channels. The role reports to the COO and partners closely with the Production Manager and Shipping Manager.
About the Role
This role will serve as the central hub for demand signaling, partnering closely with the Production Manager, Shipping Manager, and Marketing team to ensure product availability meets consumer demand. This role is vital in maintaining the data integrity of the inventory management system to drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Owns demand planning and production planning across DTC and Amazon sales channels.
- Manages purchasing of raw goods to support production and inventory requirements.
- Coordinates with the marketing team to align production capacity with promotional plans and campaign timelines.
- Maintains accuracy of inventory data across all sales channels and physical locations.
- Oversees the proper use and data integrity of the inventory management system.
- Serve as internal contact with outside finance/HR team regarding day-to-day accounts payable, human resources, benefits management, and other issues.
- Support operational needs related to the retail business.
- Assist with additional operational initiatives and tasks as directed by the CEO or COO.
Qualifications
- At a minimum, the Operations and Production Planning Managerr has a bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field.
- 5-6 years of experience with business operations, forecasting, planning, and purchasing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and collaborate across teams.
Required Skills
- Operational planning and forecasting: Ability to translate demand indicators into unit demand, production and purchasing plans across multiple sales channels.
- Inventory and supply chain management: Maintaining accurate inventory data and coordinating raw goods purchasing and production workflows.
- Cross-functional communication and organization: Coordinating across operations, marketing, production, shipping, and leadership while managing multiple priorities.
- Results-Oriented Mindset: A strong commitment to meeting deadlines and ensuring mission-critical tasks are completed in a timely manner.

- Google Workspace
- Katana Inventory Management System
- Excel
- QuickBooks
- Vendor portals and other operational software
Pay range and compensation package
This role is a hybrid in-office role (3–4 days per week onsite). This consists of mostly desk work, but may occasionally assist Production and Shipping Managers with tasks.
