On Call Event Services/Banquet Server

This posting is for an On Call Event Services/Banquet Server at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. Event Services/Banquet Servers are responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting and serving the menu offering for the event. This may also include linen and table setting, food station design and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Good communication skills are required since this position involves a high level of customer interaction. Previous food & beverage related experienceis preferred, along with previous customer service experience.

This position involves a considerable amount of walking and standing; and the ability to lift, push and carry a moderate amount of weight.

This is a flexible on-call position, hours could be morning's, afternoon's, evening's, weekends and holidays. As an On Call employee you must pick up (1) shift (4 hours) per quarter in order to remain an active On Call employee.

• Sick pay - Earn (1) hour of sick pay for every (30) hours worked with a maximum of (48) hours per year.

Rate of pay for this role is $7.40 per hour plus gratuity pool.

Pay Rate: $25-$40 per hour (hourly rate + service charge)*

*$25-$40 per hour based on a $7.40 per hour base wage + service charge (which can fluctuate based on events/time of year). This position is eligible for overtime for any hours worked over 40 per week.

This position always earns at least the Denver City minimum wage of $19.29 per hour.
