Ocean Export Coordinator

A well-established international freight forwarder is looking to add an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to its growing Chicago team.

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you will take full ownership of ocean export shipments and play a key role in delivering high-quality service to global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end ocean export shipments (FCL & LCL)
• Coordinate bookings with carriers, agents, and clients
• Prepare and process export documentation (B/L, AES filings, invoices, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers
• Resolve any shipment issues proactively and efficiently
• Work closely with internal teams including pricing and operations

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years’ experience in ocean export within a freight forwarding environment
• Strong knowledge of export documentation and compliance
• Experience handling FCL and LCL shipments
• Familiarity with systems such as CargoWise (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset
