Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT with Jackson Therapy Partners. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations and treatments for neuro and orthopedic in-patient rehab and acute care patients while working in San Antonio, TX.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Texas Occupational Therapy license required. No temporary licenses allowed.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience required. Client prefers 2–3 years of experience in inpatient rehab and/or acute hospital settings.
  • Required experience performing in-patient rehabilitation and hospital-based OT evaluations and treatments (neuro and ortho). Experience with acute settings such as orthopedics, telemetry and ICU preferred.
  • Documentation experience with Meditech preferred.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed per facility floating policy.
  • Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish, NDT or brain injury certifications. These are preferred and not required.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Unit: Physical Therapy / Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care.
  • Shift name: Days.
  • Shift hours: 08:00–17:00 (Days).
  • Weekend requirement: Two weekend shifts per month; weekday compensatory days provided.
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.
  • Start time no later than 08:00 AM.
  • Floating: Travelers are required to float as needed per facility policy.
  • Call requirements: To be discussed during interview.
  • Assignment length: 13 weeks.

The River Walk and the historic Alamo are downtown landmarks located within minutes of major hospitals, providing urban dining and cultural experiences. Mission Reach of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is approximately 10–15 minutes south of downtown and offers multi-mile trails and access to San Antonio’s UNESCO World Heritage missions. For outdoor day trips, Government Canyon State Natural Area is about a 30–40 minute drive northwest and provides hiking and primitive camping. The Pearl District and Southtown neighborhoods provide walkable dining, art galleries, and weekend farmer’s markets within a 10–20 minute commute from central San Antonio. San Antonio International Airport is roughly 15 minutes from downtown, supporting regional travel and connections.
