Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in a hospital setting in Gainesville, FL.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Florida Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation or hospital rehab unit preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech (Expanse) documentation system preferred.
• Experience with typical IPR gym equipment, including balance and gait systems, preferred.
• Ability to perform patient evaluations, ADL training, transfers, family/patient education, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotation as part of call requirements.

• Facility Type: Hospital (Inpatient Rehabilitation / Rehab Unit).
• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Details: Days 0800-1700.
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 7:1.
• Unit Size: 30 beds; multidisciplinary staff including PT/OT/SLP/tech; typical staff count ~22.
• Documentation System: Meditech (Expanse).
• Typical Equipment: IPR gym equipment including balance and gait systems.
• Dress Code: Scrubs, light gray color.
