Job Summary:
A growing rehabilitation services provider is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a skilled nursing setting. This role focuses on helping individuals improve, regain, or maintain daily living and work skills, promoting independence and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat short-term and long-term residents requiring occupational therapy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Complete timely and accurate documentation (evaluations, re-certifications, discharges)
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs)
- Conduct routine screenings and quarterly evaluations for residents
- Assist in developing and overseeing restorative nursing programs
- Support insurance authorizations and appeals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred
- Strong communication, observation, and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
