Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit. Must have heparin titrated drip experience based on PTT.
Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Shift & Scheduling: Will block if it is possible with staffing. Every other weekend; Saturday and Sunday are considered the weekend both shifts. Every other holiday. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float in rotation with rest of staff. General unit traveler floats to general unit floor and takes a full team. If floated outside of general unit, in case of urgent need, would only do skills competent to do and be assigned with a nurse trained for that particular unit.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference from within the last 12 months
1 Any reference from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
