Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.

Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Special Requests: - RNs in this unit are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. - RNs must complete a pass/fail exam on Friday during orientation. It is open book on skills learned, all necessary resources are provided, and a score of 90% is required to pass or the contract will be terminated. - Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. - Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care; refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of the contract. - MS Neuro patients include med/surg tele patients with strokes, stable neurological deficits, post-neurosurgery procedures, and other med/surg overflow. - Common diagnoses include joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, and failure to thrive. - RNs titrate heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine. PCA pumps are common drips. Tele techs interpret monitors, and RNs should have some tele awareness. - 2-3 holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements: - Floating required to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed.
Required Credentials: - RN jobs in the following units: Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, ED/ER, Endoscopy, any ICU/critical care, IR, LTAC ICU, Med-Surg/Tele, Tele, PACU, Stepdown/PCU are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 Charge/Lead reference from within the last 12 months
1 Manager/Supervisor reference from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
