The National Account Specialist supports the National Account Manager in driving sales and execution for QUIKRETE across a big box customers corporate office and stores nationwide. This role is responsible for day-to-day activities including timely reporting on key performance indicators, accurate item setup and maintenance of e-commerce metrics, inventory and in-stock issues, promotional launches and tracking, and communication with both the customers and QUIKRETE internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily management of building material items at box store including pulling and analyzing POS, inventory, and e-commerce performance reports, highlighting trends and summarizing insights in weekly scorecards and business reviews.
- Track promotions, resets and new item launches against timeliness and communicate status updates to the National Account Manager and Senior Leadership
- Partner with marketing and e-commerce to optimize dot.com content for building materials (technical specs, project content, and attachment items)
- Resolve day-to-day issues raised by customer or internal teams (retail discrepancies, item errors and action item tracking)
- Support special projects as assigned
- Plan and conduct training sessions for the customer and their clients to support product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, store manager meetings, and customer-hosted charitable events.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations using PowerPoint to support sales initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in sales support, account coordination, merchandising, or operations, experience with large retail or building materials is a plus but not required
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to lift to 80-lbs.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams, Power BI and SharePoint)
- Advanced excel and reporting skills (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards) to work with POS, inventory and shipment data
- Ability to interpret POS metrics and trends to identify sales opportunities, in-stock issues, and promotional impacts
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage many SKUs, deadlines, and tasks across sales, merchandising, marketing and supply chain
- Clear written and verbal communication to work with merchants/replenishment, supply chain and internal sales and operations teams
- Service mindset and problem-solving skills to respond quickly to customers request and resolve issues promptly.
