As a Consulting Multi-Specialty Peer Review Committee (MSPRC) Medical Staff Coordinator, you will be a vital part of our healthcare team, providing administrative support and quality assurance for the MSPRC and various quality initiatives. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will manage committee operations, support case review activities, ensure accurate documentation, and facilitate communication with providers. Additionally, you will assist with select Medical Staff Office (MSO) functions, including committee coordination, credentialing data entry, and special projects.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include preparing and distributing meeting invitations and agendas for MSPRC meetings, compiling and circulating pre-MSPRC case materials, and recording and finalizing meeting minutes. You will also draft, proofread, and issue correspondence to providers regarding case outcomes or follow-up actions, and maintain accurate case tracking logs. You will monitor referral emails and manage the intake of new case referrals, triage and manage case referrals, and summarize case details to determine the course of action. You will coordinate with reviewers and compile and prepare final case packets for MSPRC meeting review. Additionally, you will extract case data and supporting information from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and support the transition of current systems to the new RL system.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training and a minimum of 1 year of experience supporting clinical committees. They should have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, and have familiarity with case review processes and quality improvement activities. A background in quality and experience working in community hospital settings is required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality are also required. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Nursing, and familiarity with RL system, APeX EMR, and quality/risk management systems. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required for this role.
