Job Summary
Provides continuous surveillance of cardiac telemetry monitors to identify and report significant changes in cardiac rhythms. Supports patient safety and clinical communication in centralized monitoring environments.
Essential Functions
- Continuously observe and interpret cardiac rhythms from telemetry monitors.
- Record rhythm strips at designated intervals and notify nursing staff of changes.
- Maintain monitor station cleanliness and function; report equipment issues.
- Document rhythm interpretations and maintain accurate logbooks.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with unit nursing staff.

QualificationsEducation
- Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) completion of Nursing Asst, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Tech program (Required) Or Some College Coursework Completed in an accredited school of nursing to include successful completion of at least 1 semester. (Required)
Licenses/Certifications
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant or CMA or EMT Upon Hire (Required)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Within Facility-Specified time frame (Required)
- EKG - Electrocardiogram Certification Upon Hire (Preferred)
Experience
- 1+ years patient care experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
