Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid‑Level Environmental Engineer / Geologist / Scientist to join our Environmental Government Services (EGS) team based in Omaha, Nebraska. Responsibilities:

•� � � � Provide technical, field, and task management support for environmental investigation and remediation projects.
•� � � � Plan, lead, and perform environmental field activities including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and vapor sampling.
•� � � � Support hydrogeologic investigations, field testing, inspections, and remediation system installation, operation, and monitoring.
•� � � � Evaluate geologic, hydrogeologic, chemical, and engineering data to develop defensible technical conclusions.
•� � � � Prepare technical deliverables including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Work Plans, Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), QAPPs, technical memoranda, investigation reports, figures, and tables.
•� � � � Support development of remedial approaches, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
•� � � � Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements.
•� � � � Monitor health and safety and quality assurance requirements during field and task-level activities.
•� � � � Manage discrete project tasks, including tracking scope, schedule, and budget, under the supervision of project managers.
•� � � � Mentor and support junior staff during field events and technical assignments.
•� � � � Participate in proposal development, scopes of work, budgeting, and client support activities.
•� � � � Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
•� � � � Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
•� � � � Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
•� � � � Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

•� � � � Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field (required).
•� � � � 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, site assessment, remediation, or related work (required).
•� � � � Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 15% (required).
•� � � � Professional licensure (PE or PG), or progress toward licensure (preferred).
•� � � � 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training (required).
•� � � � 8-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER supervisor (preferred).
•� � � � Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) (required).�
•� � � � Experience with environmental data evaluation, GIS, modeling, or CADD coordination (preferred).
•� � � � CERCLA experience (preferred).
•� � � � Experience supporting governmental projects (preferred).
•� � � � Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills (required).
•� � � � Proficiency in delivering technical and business presentations (preferred).
•� � � � Demonstrated experience directing and supervising subcontractors during field and project execution (required).
This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Office work will be in a typical office environment with controlled conditions. Fieldwork will entail work in a wide range of outdoor conditions, including work in adverse weather conditions, such as high heat, extreme cold, and precipitation, and on unimproved job sites where dense vegetation, uneven ground, and physical obstacles may be present. Field project durations may range from one day to several weeks.

Language & Communication Skills: Candidates should be fluent in the English language and possess excellent verbal/written communication skills. Candidates must be able to interact with clients, subcontractors, professionals, and the general public professionally.

Other Skills: Instructions: The candidate must have the ability to work well in a professional and team-oriented environment, as well as independently. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent leadership skills, and be client focused. Must possess basic computer skills; the computer skills must include proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

Must be comfortable and effective in oral communications, business development, and/or client-related presentations.

Ability to evaluate basic and complex issues, solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

General computer, word processing, and spreadsheet capabilities are required, along with experience with using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and Adobe applications (Acrobat, etc.).
