We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Information Systems Engineer to support the implementation and integration of information systems across battery pack assembly operations. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable production line control, traceability, data collection, and system integration across multiple manufacturing facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and integration of manufacturing information systems across battery pack assembly lines
  • Drive system integration for line control, parts selection, traceability, and production Andon systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production engineering, IT, and global stakeholders
  • Define and refine system specifications for vendor design, development, and installation
  • Support deployment, testing, and validation of systems during production setup and trials
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues between production equipment and information systems
  • Guide equipment engineering teams on system integration and interface requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system standards and technical notices
  • Track and manage project timelines for design, installation, and system validation activities
  • Support continuous improvement of manufacturing information systems and data processes


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing information systems, production systems, or industrial automation
  • Strong experience with production line control systems (Andon), traceability, and data collection systems
  • Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Omron, or similar platforms)
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing system integration and production equipment interfacing
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, field networks)
  • Experience working with databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and data integration
  • Familiarity with Agile or structured project execution methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive, EV, or battery manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to MES / manufacturing execution systems / plant IT systems
  • Knowledge of wireless networks and equipment connectivity in manufacturing environments
  • Experience with scripting or programming (Python, C#, Java, etc.)
  • Understanding of production system visualization and reporting tools
  • Experience supporting global manufacturing deployments


Work Environment & Travel

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic and international)
  • Flexibility to support off-shift work, including weekends or shutdown periods, based on project needs
