Position Overview

Elite Edge Partners is seeking an experienced M&A Practice Lead to establish and lead the firm's Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Practice. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering buy-side advisory, sell-side advisory, due diligence, post-merger integration, and value creation services for government contractors, technology firms, private equity-backed companies, and other growth-oriented organizations.

The M&A Practice Lead will serve as a trusted advisor to CEOs, founders, boards, investors, and executive leadership teams, guiding clients through the entire transaction lifecycle—from acquisition strategy and target identification through due diligence, transaction execution, integration, and growth acceleration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead buy-side acquisition efforts, including target identification, market assessments, due diligence, valuation support, and transaction execution.
  • Support sell-side engagements, including exit readiness, business valuation support, buyer engagement, management presentations, and transaction support.
  • Conduct commercial, operational, technology, financial, and government contracting due diligence.
  • Develop and lead post-merger integration (PMI) strategies, integration management offices, Day-1 readiness plans, and synergy realization efforts.
  • Advise clients on growth strategies, operational improvements, EBITDA enhancement, and enterprise value creation.
  • Develop Elite Edge's M&A methodologies, frameworks, playbooks, templates, and best practices.
  • Support business development activities, client pursuits, proposal efforts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as a fractional executive advisor for clients undergoing transactions, integrations, or strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading buy-side and sell-side transactions from strategy through close.
  • Experience leading post-merger integration and value creation initiatives.
  • Strong financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience supporting government contractors, defense, technology, or professional services organizations preferred.
