Merchandising Specialist – Food & Beverage

The Merchandising Specialist is responsible for executing merchandising strategies that maximize product visibility, sales, and customer engagement across retail locations. This role partners with sales, operations, and retail teams to ensure planogram compliance, optimize shelf placement, maintain product availability, and support promotional initiatives within the food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and maintain planograms, shelf layouts, product resets, and merchandising standards across assigned retail accounts.
• Monitor product placement, inventory levels, pricing accuracy, and promotional displays to maximize sales performance and brand presence.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and market data to identify opportunities for improved product positioning and category growth.
• Collaborate with sales teams, store management, and distributors to ensure successful execution of merchandising programs and new product launches.
• Conduct store audits and compliance reviews, providing recommendations to improve shelf conditions, product visibility, and customer experience.
• Track key merchandising KPIs including out-of-stock rates, planogram compliance, display execution, and promotional effectiveness.
• Support category management initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance operational efficiency and retail execution.

Qualifications:

• Experience in merchandising, retail operations, category management, or field sales within the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
• Strong knowledge of planogram development, shelf management, product resets, and retail merchandising best practices.
• Proficiency with merchandising systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to travel to retail locations and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
